Catch up time....
Wow, now it is the end of September! School is going great, I'm taking my phys-ed requirement, I picked Weight training and management on Mondays and Wednesday and I absolutely love it! I'm learning alot and hope that I will benefit from this experience and lose some weight and tone my body in the process. On September 20th Sarah's Middle School Color Guard and Band performed at the Phillies game. David and I went down to see Sarah perform, which was very cool! Then last Sunday Tricia and I went to the Dover race. The weather report was very nasty, but God must be a Nascar fan because the storms held off until exactly when the race was over. We were prepared with rain gear though. Still sat in traffic forever and 5 hours later got home. I spoke to a guy at work that goes every year and he has a back way in and out that we are going to try next year, cause sitting trapped in traffic is just crazy! Until next time...

September already????
I can't believe it is September. I can't believe summer is over?! Where does the time go? I can't believe I haven't posted in over a month. Didn't have a very good season with my vegetable garden. I hope next year will be better. Not looking forward to the colder weather, but I do look forward to the bird watching in the winter and having fires in our woodstove. Danielle just started her senior year and Sarah's is in 8th grade. I am very busy at work and just started back at college. Just had a family weekend greataway labor weekend. Camping in the rain with two teenagers, you can just imagine. We made the best of it though. Hopefully this coming year since I will have some vacation time, we will be able to go somewhere on vacation. David and I went to Bristol Tennessee the end of August for a Nascar race. I must be getting old or something (turning 40 this fall) but the drive killed me. I just don't enjoy driving long distances. Tricia and I will be going to the Dover race in a couple of weeks, that I can handle (except for the massive traffic) Until next time.....I will try to post more often :)

God's sign....okay God...I got it!!!
If anyone knows me, I don't relax. I've been getting better at it, but still have issues... Yesterday I hurt my hip and have been in a great deal of pain. When I came home from work today, I wanted to check my vegetable garden and started to weed. Then I realized that the pain was reminding me that I shouldn't be doing this I came in took some Advil and put heat on it. Then I had to run Sarah to the mall and when I came back I got the idea to do (just a little) transplanting. I had walked by David and he reminded me that I was in pain and should be relaxing and I said I will only be "a minute". Needless to say I was out there more than that but God sent me a sign for me to stop. I hit a bees nest while transplanting and got stung on the butt! Okay God I hear you.....after yelling for David and getting first aid for my sting I was still relentless and said I was going to go clean up outside. Which David reminded me sternly to relax and I did :) Will I ever learn?

A sad goodbye...

We had to find little shady a new home. It was a heartbreak, but things were definitely not working out as planned. I found a wonderful home for him in Phoenixville. Sarah and I took him last night. We met the whole family and were invited in to see where Shady would be living. Dee and her family were so excited to adopt Shady as they had to put down their cat of 17 years just the day before. She wants us to keep in contact and visit whenever we want. We will miss you sweetie!
Annapolis July 06

Last weekend Sarah and I spent the weekend at my brother Tim's house in Annapolis. David went to workcamp in West Virginia and Danielle stayed with her Aunt Nanci. We had alot of fun with Tim, Fran and Jesse. I love going down there....it is such a beautiful area. I spent alot of time kayaking on the bay. Sarah and Jesse where on the beach. Sarah got really sunburnt on Saturday. Our time down there was short, I hope to get back there soon. I love the time I spend with my family, even though it is only little...and yes I relaxed!

Yesterday.....
Sunday we finally got to go minature golfing! It is something I really wanted to do with the family (I don't know how excited everyone else was...) The four of us went to Freddy Hill Farms and played then had ice cream. I want to spend more time as a family because with older teenagers it seems like that happens less and less. Where has the time gone?

Bicycling, Picinicing, Kayaking...oh my!
Saturday was a very nice day... David, Sarah and I went to Peace Valley Park. We started the day riding our bikes around the lake. I believe it was about 6 miles? Sarah was a little worn out but enjoyed herself. Then we had a picinic lunch by the lake. After that we rented kayaks (my favorite!) and kayaked around the lake for about an hour. Then we came home and we all went out to dinner (Danielle too!) to Texas Roadhouse. All in all is was a fun filled day :)

Broken.....
Ever feel that way? That is the word that is describes the way I feel. I know I need not to worry that I need to give my cares, fears and worries to him. I pray that I can do this and that he will lead me in the right direction and decisions in the rough times in my life.....

It is the little things in life...

Yesterday I happened to look out my window and I saw a bird I have never seen before. I am somewhat of an avid birdwatcher. I have a journal I keep (at times) and enjoy very much seeing different types of birds in my yard. I quick ran and got my book and found out it was a Northern Flicker which is a type of woodpecker. I was so excited! I added him to my journal and hope he returns again. The one thing I would love to see in my yard is a hummingbird.....I'll keep you posted!!!
